Hi my name is Wilbur and I'm a runt, well that's what people call me.

I live with a lot of animals, but out of them all, my favourite would be Charlotte, she's a spider.

My food is brought to me by Homer, he works for Fern's uncle.

I'm a very playful pig and I'm very talented. I like doing back flips and I like trotting trot trot trot.

My hobbies are jumping in mud and being a little famous.
I like saying "hello"," goodnight"," great name", "don't go" and "wanna be friends?"
So I've got to go because it's raining and you know what you get with rain MUD!!!!!!!

My name is Templeton, and I enjoy eating. I also enjoy making smart remarks about Wilbur the pig. He's new to the barn, and he likes to play in mud(I think he likes the squelching noise and the feel of it). I reakon it's a waste of time, but pig=slop and I like slop, so it's okay despite his annoying questions. I often take Gussie the gooses' rotten eggs , but they roll everywhere and crack, which makes the whole barn stink!!! Wilbur and Charlotte ask for jobs and in return I get slop. Usually the jobs are finding exciting words.
Templeton is a arrogant, fat rat who likes slop.

Templeton stinks like a rubbish bin, and steals lots of things
so he can be rich. He tries to be sweet, and he can try to be fair.
He also is mean to Wilbur the pig.

And he is the best rat in the world.

Hello my name is Wilbur,

I am a small pink pig, I enjoy rolling and jumping in the mud. I am a small runt, I have a black dot above my right eye, my friends are called Charlotte and another friend called Fern. When I was a small runt Fern's dad was going to kill me but Fern saved me and she's looked after me ever since. My sayings are: "great name", "good night" and "I don't want to die". I am: adventurous, smiley, friendly, always HAPPY, and afraid to die. I like to get grubby and most of all I'm a good friend. Goodbye.

If you could meet Wilbur the pig, he would say [in pig langauge] "Whats your name" or "Who are you" and if you said your name [in pig langauge] he would say ".*.............! Great name!". Wilburs apparince is: Markings: black spot around one eye. Hair: all over body like other pigs. Smell: wet hay, mud. Likes: sliding in mud, making friends, chating. Dislikes: the look of the smokehouse.

Hi I'm Templeton. I am a little grey fluffy rat. I really enjoy spying and eating. My favourite food is slops (kitchen left overs). My favourite sayings are "The Rat is hansome; and Oh boy am I a hansome devil or what!" I am a very greedy little rat - my arch enemies are the black crows who sit on the roof stearing at The Scarecrow all day. I am very grubby and I live in a hole in Homers' barn.

All I think about is me and my belovered slops. The rat will do anything for slops. I am a kinda-hero, and love to steal horrible smelly rotten eggs. Often I steal all my food and I have a pretty sweet life. My home is a hole thats looks a little like a junk yard, with my food all stored down there and it stinks - it's lovely!

Hi, I am Wilbur ( in the movie Charlotte's web ). I look like a small pig.

I am scared of Christmas. I am very determined. I am kind as anything. I like being told good night. I like playing in mud and am very playful. I am young. I have seen winter (and not many spring pigs have.) I live in a barn with other friends, but not the rat.

So I am very determined, playful, small for a pig and I have seen snow.

Hi my name is Wilbur what's yours? Great name! I'm a pig. Fern says I'm a cute round chubby pink pig with short white hair. She also says I have a great personality as well. I live in a big red barn with Gussy and Gander, Templeton the rat, he lives in a hole under my trough. No one likes him though. I also live with 2 cows and 5 sheep. The leader's name is Samuel, his followers always copy him and every one else. Ike the horse lives in the barn as well but Charlotte is my favourite, she's ever so smart and makes the most amazing webs. Fern and Avery live with their mum and dad across the road. Their Uncle Homer owns the barn were I live and Lurvy brings me my slops every day. Fern used to feed me with a bottle when I was a baby. Fern says I'm very pretty, she read me a story she wrote where she goes on the big yellow thing on wheels. I went there once it was fun!!! but Fern got in trouble. She said in her story that I was pink with white hair and a black dot above my left eye. She says I smell like mud and food and I'm very friendly. She talked about how all the sheep grow lots of hair and that it always smells like fresh hay and clover when Lurvy and Uncle Homer lug it up to the loft. She wrote about the cows getting milked and how her mum made yummy whipped cream. So that's me - Wilbur the chubby, round, roly poly, friendly little PIG. My best friends are Fern and Charlotte. I love slops and I live in a big red barn. But now I need to go play in the mud. Bye. THE END.

Term 1

Hi, and welcome to Room 1's Blog. Our year long theme is 'Citizenship is Everyone's Business'. During Term 1 we have been exploring this through setting up a positive classroom culture, and understanding how everyone contributes to our class, and our school. We have been working on class peer mediation skills, co-operation, rights, respect and responsibilities.
This unit was then followed by an amazing unit on 'It's our Voice'. The children have been exploring our Senior Council - and are presently writing guidelines as to how we could change our present system - so that all children at Nelson Central School are represented in some form. These guidelines will be presented at a school expo and voted on during the last week of term.

Other exciting happenings in Room 1 have been a character study on Charlotte's Web, this can be viewed on our wikispace, and also explanation writing.
Math has included lots of fractions, and time.
We have had some wonderful events including the Triathlon, Swimming Carnival, and trips to The Suter and Totara Trading. Enjoy reading and feel free to comment.
